Quit Smoking

Smoking is one of the top health killers today. In fact, this habit has killed over 100 people worldwide during the 20th century. It is even predicted to kill as much as one billion individuals in the 21st century.

In the Philippines alone, around 90,000 Filipinos die every year from smoking-related illnesses. This includes lung cancer, heart attack, stroke, chronic-obstructive lung failure, emphysema, asthma, as well as tongue and larynx cancer among many others.

With all the health risks that smoking brings, perhaps it is about time that you drop that cigarette and quit smoking for good.

If you are still not convinced, here are more reasons why you should quit smoking:

  • Smoking gives you a bad odor
Smoking causes you to have an unpleasant body odor. It saturates your clothes, your hair, as well as your breath. Remember that no amount of mint gums, mouthwash, or perfume can cover this awful stench.
  • Smoking makes you look old
According to studies, smoking can easily cause your skin to dry up and become wrinkly. Apart from this, you also end up with a grayish pale skin, unhealthy fingernails, and yellow teeth.
  • Smoking lowers your ability to have children
Smoking causes numerous reproductive problems. Women who smoke have a lesser percentage of getting pregnant, while men smokers have a higher possibility of having erectile dysfunction.
